Atualização do ranking UCI de ciclistas: Remco volta a juntar-se aos “extraterrestres” no topo da classificação graças à vitória na Amstel Gold Race

A última semana de competição, encabeçada pela Brabantse Pijl, Amstel Gold Race, Tour of Hainan, Volta ao Limburgo e Gran Camiño, consolidou a classificação UCI WorldTour 2026. Tadej Pogacar mantém-se no topo do ranking de 2026 com 2715 pontos, seguido por Wout van Aert com 2225 e Mathieu van der Poel com 2220, três corredores que continuam a marcar o ritmo do pelotão internacional no início da primavera.
O foco principal recai sobre o quarto lugar, onde Remco Evenepoel atinge 2007,9 pontos e ultrapassa Isaac del Toro, quinto com 1839. O belga impulsionou-se de forma decisiva com a vitória na Amstel, enquanto o jovem mexicano continua a sentir o impacto do abandono na Volta ao País Basco uma semana antes.
O restante top 10 inclui Mauro Schmid em sexto com 1502 pontos, seguido por Tobias Lund Andresen (1490) e Paul Seixas (1456), ambos da Decathlon CMA CGM. A fechar os dez primeiros surgem Christophe Laporte com 1403 pontos em nono e Tom Pidcock, décimo com 1361, numa secção muito compacta da tabela.

Mais atrás, líderes como Jonas Vingegaard (13º com 1219,6 pontos), Mads Pedersen (15º com 1188) e Primoz Roglic (58º com 474) aguardam a oportunidade de atacar mais adiante na temporada para inverter a atual situação pouco favorável no ranking.

Primoz Roglic não tem chamado tanta atenção até agora em 2026
O ranking UCI WorldTour dos últimos doze meses oferece uma fotografia alargada da forma global do pelotão, claramente liderado por Tadej Pogacar, que atinge 11 210 pontos após um ano de notável consistência. Jonas Vingegaard segue com 6885,1 pontos, firme no segundo lugar, enquanto Isaac del Toro é terceiro com 6711, confirmando a sua afirmação entre a elite da modalidade.
Em quarto surge Remco Evenepoel com 5600,9 pontos, seguido de Tom Pidcock (4190,4) e Mads Pedersen (3664,9), num top 6 que espelha a variedade de perfis dominantes da última época. O top 10 completa-se com João Almeida (7º, 3515,5), Wout van Aert (8º, 3495), Mathieu van der Poel (9º, 3333) e Arnaud De Lie (10º, 3007).

- Talvez Van Aert tenha acabado a corrida sem desistir não pela "atitude honrada de acabar a prova sem desistir" mas por outros possíveis motivos (só ele sabe o real motivo, mas não deixam de ser hipóteses com lógica): 1) A decisão de levar a corrida até ao fim pode ter sido a decisão de "já que estou aqui e não vou poder lutar por uma boa classificação, vou aproveitar para treinar"... Lembra-me o que Nelson Piquet fez no GP de Portugal de 1985... sem hipóteses de lutar pelos pontos na corrida devido a problemas com o carro, passou o resto da corrida a experimentar soluções no carro, como se faz nas sessões de treino privadas... aproveitando para testá-las em ambiente real de corrida. 2) Se algum patrocinador (Red Bull, por exemplo) lhe pagar em função do número de etapas que terminar, por exemplo, será um bom motivo para terminar, seja em que lugar for...Cicloviajador13-02-2024
